About us

Meet Roberta – Founder of Seda I grew up between South Africa, New Zealand and Noosa, three places that taught me the value of nature, community and living with intention. Noosa, where I now call home, is where life feels a little saltier, slower and surrounded by beauty. The ocean, the bush and the earthy colours of the land have deeply shaped who I am and how I create. Each piece is thoughtfully handmade by me, using carefully sourced materials that are sustainable, eco-conscious, and kind to the Earth. Choosing to put the planet first means slower processes, tighter margins, and a lot more effort but it’s a decision I’m proud of and one I stand by wholeheartedly. I started Seda not just as a brand, but as a gentle alternative to fast fashion, something more thoughtful, more considered, and more connected to nature. I hope every scrunchie you wear is a soft, simple reminder that beauty can be kind, and that the way we create and     consume can hold meaning. Thank you for supporting small, slow, honest business, it truly means the world.

Meet Roberta – Founder of Seda

I grew up between South Africa, New Zealand and Noosa, Australia. These three places have taught me the value of nature, community and living with intention.

I hope every scrunchie you wear is a soft, simple reminder that beauty can be kind and that the way we create and consume can hold meaning.

Thank you for supporting small, slow, honest business, it truly means the world.

Why Mulberry Silk is a Sustainable Choice?

Mulberry silk is one of the most eco-conscious fabrics available. It is produced from silkworms that are fed exclusively on mulberry leaves, a hardy crop that grows easily and requires far less water and pesticides than many others. The production process is gentle on the environment, and unlike synthetic fabrics, mulberry silk is completely biodegradable, leaving no long-term waste behind. Choosing mulberry silk means embracing a natural, renewable material that supports sustainable fashion from the ground up.
